The processor was developed to be the primary processor for small satellites or subsystem processor for other applications. The processor can be programmed to act as an enhanced Applique’ Sensor Interface Module (ASIM), can be a standalone processor on the SPA network with multiple processor units, or can be embedded in a payload for “plug and play” applications. Available in a 5×5 form factor, and with available extension boards for additional interface services, this flexible unit will be flown and qualified on an upcoming ORS mission. The unit is radiation tolerant by design, qualified over a Mil temperature range and designed to envelope most launch vehicle requirements. With VxWorks as its operating system and a BSP that supports a wide range of interfaces, it is ideal for the intermediate processing needs of small spacecraft. Configured with SPA compatible software, it is ideal for acting as a node on the SPA network, or to make payloads or subsystem components SPA compliant.
