Space PnP Architecture enables a high degree of modularity, configurability, autonomy and higher reliability per dollar spent than traditional methods.The architecture, however, requires a subsystem design that can take advantage of this capability.  Design Net’s PMAD subsystem, qualified on an upcoming ORS mission, provides this.  The system is highly configurable in the amount of energy storage, battery chemistry, number of panels, and in its bus distribution system while fitting seamlessly with any SPA compliant system and supporting traditional interfaces. With our subsystem processor at its heart, it provides modular, reusable software power management services over a SPA-S network.  The PMAD is the “Medulla” of the system, with a highly reliable processor core, and flight proven components.  It provides timing coordination for the entire space vehicle and is being augmented to support almost total autonomous operation.
